OVERVIEW
My ketch is not flawless. There is a worklist that I had budgeted for the next few years, and here it is:
• finish splicing new lifelines.
• replace the main sail
• install a new fuel tank. the current one was temporarily installed 8 years ago when the factory tank failed and made a mess in the bilge.
• Replace and update the entire electrical system.
• repair a 2 foot square delaminated section on the cabintop to starboard of the main mast.
• chase down the last 2 or 3 leaks from the cabin top or cabin sides.
• sew fabric covers for the new foam for the cabin cushions- we have been wrapping the foam with sheets.
• new main sheet
• repairs to rubrail from a fall storm.
WHAT I HAVE REPLACED:
GALLEY & SALON
• New 3 burner propane stove and oven.
• New propane lines, tank, and locker (originally had pressurized alcohol).
• Replaced all the water lines.
• Replaced the plastic portlights with bronze Wilcox Crittenden portlights.
• New cabin liner fabric
• New cabinets over the startboard settee
• New cushion foam.
• 12V refrigeration.
DECK & HULL
• Replaced original 1/2" plastic deck hatches with 3/4" acrylic sheet. installed new bronze hatch hinges.
• Replaced original teak cleats in the cockpit with bronze cleats
• Installed cast bronze stern anchor pultpit and aluminum fortress kedge anchor, 3 strand black nylon line, and canvas rode bag.
• Installed teak anchor pulpit and stainless anchor rollers
• Installed a 2 speed anchor windlass
• Installed new dedicated jib furling line winch in the cockpit.
• All new bronze through hulls.
•
Relocated the cockpit scuppers aft so they are above the waterline.
• Replaced all plastic through hulls with bronze.
• Replaced all 4 deck and cockpit scuppers with perko bronze fittings.
• New bronze spoked steering wheel.
• Four 4" round opening bronze through hulls installed in the hull on either side of the v-berth.
• New mast step after bulkhead
SAILS & RIGGING
• 2 year old jib.
• 3 year old mizzen.
• All new running rigging in 2007 I think.
• Rigged for mizzen stays’l .
SYSTEMS
• All new Raritan PH2 head and septic hoses.
• New bronze shower drain.
• New to the boat autopilot.
• New old stock flasher with through hull sender
OTHER
• 10 foot dinghy with custom bronze hardware available through negotiation.
• Many other custom cast bronze fittings.
