1983 Endeavour 40 Sailboat

OVERVIEW

This Endeavour 40 has travelled extensively along the East Coast, to Bermuda, to the Bahamas, and to the Turks and Caicos. She is a very seaworthy boat and has been well-maintained. The many additions and modifications have made her into a very comfortable place to sail and to live for extended periods of time. Leading all lines to the cockpit and installing line clutches, and the ability to drop and raise the anchor from the cockpit have made her a very safe boat to sail. An electric winch to raise the main from the cockpit is a welcome addition, and the Schaeffer in-boom furler allows you to reef or furl the main safely and swiftly from the cockpit.

Belowdecks, one of the greatest modifications was removing the large center table console and building a drop-down table which folds up into its own cabinet when not in use. The modifications to the refrigerator box and the conversion to a Frigaboat system allow you to keep food frozen for several months, as well as easy access to all items in the refrigerator. Storage is greatly improved by providing access to empty space available throughout the boat and adding shelving in the aft cabin. Extra lighting and fans make it more comfortable below on warm days and nights, and having a generator to provide AC for extremely hot weather is a big plus.

Four solar panels provide enough power to run all navigation equipment, the refrigerator, stereo, TV, and DVD player, plus keep the batteries topped off. She is a wonderful cruiser, waiting patiently for her next voyage!
