OVERVIEW

Sweet Emotion is a well maintained and upgraded example of the America's cup designer, Johan Valentijn's, centre cockpit, offshore cruiser. There was not an option available that was not taken when she was built such as teak rubbing strakes with stainless steel trim, bow sprit with pulpit rail, teak chain plate covers, ice maker, rear opening ports on aft cabin, etc. Below decks her two staterooms, two head layout is spacious and comfortable, featuring beautiful teak joinery and appointments throughout. The main cabin, as well as the rest of the yachts interior, features a teak and holly sole and wonderful teak paneling, joinery, and appointments. LED lighting is found throughout the yacht along with ample ventilation from (5) overhead hatches and (14) opening ports (9) with new lenses.

Entering from the cockpit a large cabin opens with the nav station to the starboard and the galley to the port. Forward, the salon features port and starboard settees separated by a fixed teak table with dual folding leaves. There is shelving and cabinetry behind the settees along the port and starboard sides. 

The salon is entered from the cockpit, five steps down via a centre companionway and features:

GALLEY
The galley is located opposite the nav station on the port side and offers generous counter space and storage lockers. A double stainless-steel sink is found forward on the starboard side. On the port side a gimbaled, three burner stove/oven is found forward, microwave oven, above, followed by a large countertop with cabinets above and a storage shelving behind extending aft. Large top loading refrigerator and freezer lockers are found under the countertop. There is an icemaker on the port side.

The galley is on the port side aft of the salon and extends to the aft cabin. The galley features:

FOREDECK

Moving forward the deck is protected by stainless steel and bow rails connected by dual lifelines running the length of the deck port and starboard gates are found at the cockpit, port and starboard and at the helm.

Five hatches are found on deck along with fourteen opening portlights, and four fixed portlights. Six teak handrails run along the forward cabin top.

Inner and outer foresail tracks run along the port and starboard sides. Cleats are found at the bow midships and stern.

The roller mounted anchor is serviced by an electric windless, and washdown spigot.

The masthead sloop rig features a double spreader mast, in mast furler, a boom vang and fixed backstay.
