Endeavour 43 Ketch Sailboat

OVERVIEW
This 43 foot Endeavour "Ketch’n Wind " is a very well equipped live aboard outfitted for worldwide cruising.

The 43’ Endeavour was designed as a comfortable heavy displacement live aboard cruiser by Robert Johnson NA. (founder of Island Packet boats) The boat has 6’6” headroom throughout and a full height passageway from salon to aft cabin. The 2 main berths have comfortable queen beds and each with its own full head. The salon settee also makes into another double bed and in the passage way there is a single bunk (pilot berth) making comfortable accommodations for 6 or 7.

The entire interior is teak, with teak parquet floors, teak wall paneling and teak cabinets. There is abundant storage throughout the boat, enough for all your cursing needs.

The boat is outfitted with both 110 volt and 12 volt lighting and power outlets so she is comfortable at dock and on the anchor.

The owner completely re-outfitted the boat for long term sailing and lived aboard over the last seven years. There is a new Yanmar engine, replacing the original Perkins. The Yanmar is more service friendly worldwide and has more power to accommodate heavy cruising loads. The engine has only 12 hours on it presently. When the engine was replaced the engine room was remodeled and all mechanical systems checked, rebuilt or replaced. The 110 volt / engine water heater was replaced with a stainless steel Force 10.

All standing rigging was replaced in 2007 and the masts were refurbished and repainted. The keel stepped mast in the main bilge was refitted with a new mast step and shoe. The boat has a full set of eight sails, including an asymmetrical cruising spinnaker, a blooper for light winds, a tall boy staysail, a 120 roller jib, the full batten main, a symmetrical mizzen spinnaker, a mizzen jib and the mizzen sail. Accommodating most sailing scenarios.

The exterior of the boat was repainted with all fiberglass carefully checked.

The owner outfitted the boat for extended voyages. In addition to the new 12 volt stainless steel Isotherm refrigerator with freezer there is a 12 cubic foot chest type freezer in the galley. There is a reverse osmosis water maker on board to make fresh water from sea water. There is a 200 gallon fresh water tank on board with a rainwater harvesting system to divert deck water to the fresh water tank.
The boat was also outfitted for safety. Handy fire extinguishers and emergency flash lights throughout below for possible emergencies. Candles have been replaced with LED candles and the propane tank is stored outside in a ventilated locker with an electric solenoid valve. Each cabin has an opening hatch to the exterior for safe escape if needed. There is an automatic deploy 6 person Switlik off shore life raft, as well as a 10' tender with 10 hp outboard motor. The Chart plotter has a GPS man overboard button to press to mark spot where lost and tools to retrieve. The back of the boat has a swim deck with ladder close to the water to climb onboard. The engine room is equipped Sea Fire automatic halon fire suppression system. There is also a Satellite 406 EPIRB and a ditch bag with first aid supplies and emergency water, rations and flares.

The sailboat is outfitted with 120 watts of photovoltaic cells, a wind generator and 8, T-105 deep cycle storage batteries below. There is also a diesel generator with separate 12 volt starting battery and a large inverter to facilitate self sufficient power in remote locations.
The teak below has been restored and refinished. The settee and the berth mattresses have been recovered.

The cockpit has custom storage lockers throughout, new cushions, speakers for music, a teak table, an icemaker, and a stainless rail mounted barbeque. With six berths below and a cockpit that comfortably seats 10 it is a true vacation place for guests. There is a bimini top covering the cockpit area for shade and shelter when underway in stormy weather.

If you are too busy to remodel and outfit your dream cruiser or just appreciate a good deal, "Ketch’n Wind" offers a ready to sail adventure, perfect for the right person to begin the adventure of a lifetime.
