Calculating the D/L Ratio of the E32

Here's the formula for calculating the displacement/length ratio on the E32:
displacement in long tons
D/L = -------------------------------------
(.01 x L.W.L) cubed
Long tons is figured as 2,240lbs per ton. LWL is about 25'6":
11,700 / 2240
D/L = ---------------------------
(.01 x 25.5) cubed
5.22
D/L = -------------------
(.255) cubed
Since displacment is represented in volume, you now need to convert the LWL to volume:
5.223
D/L = --------------- = 314.6 or 315
