Searched for three years for a boat that I really wanted, finally found this one on the other side of the state. Made three trips over to see her then finally realised she and I were a team. She is rock solid! bullet-proof is the way one person described her. She doesn't point up very well, and anything under 10kts of wind and I start up the Perkins. But, I've ran with the wind at a steady 7-1/2kts.just keeping ahead of following seas and I only had a Genoa out. During my three years of ownership my admiration forthis Grand old Lady just grows more. I have to admit she has a mind of her own when we have to back out of the slip, but with a little patience and practice shes'manageable. The holding tank is too small for a cruiser, but the "B"plan gives me room for living aboard without feeling like a sardine. I'm in the process of making upgrades and adding new electronics in preperation for my retirement this year.We will be sailing and living aboard full time come this fall. not happy with small holding tank,or speed in low wind conditions. Basically,I beleave I made the right choice for a live aboard. Its very roomy for the two of us. Dropping the dining table forward makes for a near queen size bed.Quarter berths make excellent sea berths, with communication with the helm only a good yell away. Not much room for goodies at the nav. station, but its workable.Decent shower size, good size ice chest and decent refrigeration.Well powered and fuel effecient. Good fresh water storage and fuel also. Would like to have an auxilary generator or solar panels installed, perhaps down the line.Air conditioning might be a plus too.Heading south soon, might consider a watermaker. All in all a good boat for the investment.I'm sure it will do what I want it to do.
