Boat purchased in Annapolis MD, previous two owners kept the boat in Annapolis but curised to New England once, Bermuda twice, and Bahamas once. Both previous owners took very good care of the vessel. Previous name "Mystery Woman"Experience:
Began sailing in mid twenties - now in early 50s. Owned and sailed several trailerable boats as well as a fixed keel Hundet 25 & watkings 27 prior to purchasing the Endeavor 40 which we have lived on for seven years. Our cruises aboard the Endeavor include the Chesapeake, down to Florida where we lived aboard in Key Largo for four years, a couple of two month cruises to the Bahamas and one trip to New Orleans.Boat Review/Upgrades:
We decided that we wanted an Endeavour after seeing two or three even though the first two or three Endeavor 40s were in very rough shape. Leaking ports and rotted wood seemed to be a common problem when searching for our dream boat. When we found Mobetah (then Mistery Woman) the boat was in good shape however we soon found ourselves rebeding ports every weekend to prevent leaking. We soon replaced all the plastic ports with stainless & glass ports (beded with 5200) and have had no problems since that change (6 years). The original generator (6.5 kw) recently died. The Universal 25 engine used in the genset still runs fine however the generator part of the genset simply began to fall apart (coils, etc. just began to corode away). A new generator head is now on the way
