Boat History:
1st Owner (1985-1995) Original owners had her in charter service from 1985 to 1990, then kept her until 1995. Original name "Dionysus".
2nd Owners (1995-1999) Lived aboard in St. Thomas. Named "Sun Seeker".
Current: "Coastal Reserve" is now in charter service again in the Chesapeake Bay, at Rock Hall MD.

Experience:
Sailed off & on until 1975, at which time I purchased a North American 23' sloop and kept her at Solomons, MD ("Aquilla"). I sold her in 1980. For the next twenty years, I sailed aboard various friends' boats here and in Europe.

Boat Review/Upgrades:
This boat does over 8 knots under sail when in a stiff breeze, or 8.5 knots easliy under power. Performance in light winds could be better, but my experience in light winds with this boat has been minimal so far.

A positive characteristic for me is the roomy interior with lots of storage. The headroom is also a selling point. Ever since seeing the E38 and E42 at the Annapolis boat shows, I knew this was the boat for me. The use of the galley as a passage to the aft cabin seems to be a very efficient use of space. This particular boat has a strange removable post-mounted table, the likes of which I have not seen on any other Endeavours. Although the table is removable, it is not large enough for more that 3-4 people. The galley has lots of storage in the midships "pantry" that may have once contained a cooler. This boat has the galley sinks outboard, rather than under the companionway like most E42's that I looked at.
