Metal Endeavour Emblems
Date: January 13, 2002
From: Phil Cousinenau pcousine@tampabay.rr.comI am 80% through a 2 year refit of a 1984 E35, I am trying to find a replacement Crest/plate. This is the Endeavour metal crest which on our boat is located on the Starboard side of the companionway, just aft of the last port.
It's obvious I can't get a new one, but does anyone have one to sell or know where to get a new one, or how to clean it up?????

From: Nathaniel W. Pierce npierce@bluecrab.orgI have a 1984 Endeavor 35. Not sure I have ever seen the crest plate. What does it look like? Given your description of the location, it is right above the icebox/refrigerator.

From: Howard Gilbert howiegilbert@yahoo.comI have made a mold of one the I cleaned up and have successfully cast a few in resin that I have painted but I am now looking for the right color of bronze pounder to mix with the resin so the color will be in the resin and they will not have to be painted. I will keep you posted.

We are in New Hampshire skiing at the moment. When we get home early February I will check to see if I still have any around. Great job on your news features to all owners. Hope the venture is going well.

From: Paul Uhl endvr32@endeavourowners.comThe "medallion" we're discussing here seems to only appear on later model boats (ie: E35, 38). It is a metal (brass or bronze) emblem in the shape of a cut away section of a boat hull. It appears on both the port and starboard side of the coach roof, centered between the two aft ports and 2.25" below the eyebrow.

From: Paul Uhl endvr32@endeavourowners.comBud,
What about getting some silcone molding compound and making a copy of it the way one would copy nonskid. Then pour some resin mixed with filler into the mold and let dry.
